Gastric Sleeve Bariatric Surgery in the US costs $15,000 or more for just the surgery. If you have insurance coverage, it can take 2 to 3 years to get approval and you still have deductibles and co-pay. People who are borderline obese will likely never receive insurance approval.

Our internationally accredited hospitals require that you are in Colombia a minimum of 8 nights for acclimation, pre op, surgery, one night in the hospital, recovery and post-op before you return home. The typical itinerary:
- Sunday - Fly into Manizales or Pereira for Manizales surgeries. Fly into Medellin for Medellin surgeries. We will pick you up at the airport and go to the hotel for check in. Spend the day relaxing. You book and pay for your hotel directly using our special discount rates.
- Monday - Consultation with surgeons and anesthesiologist. Pre Op exams. Payment in full is required.
- Tuesday - Surgery. The surgery is only an hour or so. Then you will be taken to your private hospital room after recovery. Spend 1 night in the hospital.
- Wednesday - Consulation with surgeon and post op exams. If all good, you are released and we take you to your hotel for rest.
- Thursday to Sunday - Recovery. We suggest you walk 4 or 5 times per day for an hour or so. This is critical to reduce the chance of thrombosis. Friday or Saturday meet with the surgeon for final check up and release to fly home.
- Monday - We will pick you up at the hotel and take you to the airport. Many of our patients stay several extra days. Just let us know and we can arrange everything.
